I never much cared for the driving lessons that I got. I didn't mind my instructor, but the classes for it were boring as hell. I don't remember half of what I was supposed to have learned. The only real thing that sticks with me is that there's something you have to do when you're around curves, and it involves making it so the car doesn't fall down the hill... or something like that.

A lot of it is to do with the simply fact that I'm not too enthusiastic about driving. My parents got insurance for me, so I could drive. Then I went off to collage and they took me off. I then dropped out of college early, and they didn't want to put me back on it.

It was annoying - I'd want to do some simply thing like drive to a nearby store, and I couldn't. I couldn't walk to it because it was dark out, and I couldn't drive because I wasn't on the insurance. Annoying.It would be even worse if I was driving a classic car or some oldie that barely worked. It was bad enough with me driving a van. If I dented it, it would cost tons to fix, and with no insurance to boot.

The official driving lessons were OK. I got a booklet that I actually do recommend, and an instructor to watch my driving and tell me if I was ready for the road. Not too bad, really. So, yeah, it wasn't anything to do with the methods of teaching (except for the being in school part), it was more of the idea of being on the road, and fast, and being in a hurry.

I hate being in a hurry. That's one of the reasons that I like doing things online. You're both not in a hurry, and you can do things on your own time. It might feel like you're rushing around, but if you're doing it, it's because you want to. It would be interesting to drive a car online - you know, an online game. I think they have those.

I wouldn't recommend putting driving lessons online, though. You need to feel the car on the road; driving a car online just isn't the same; unless, I guess, some specialists make special equipment for it. Who knows. I didn't mind the driving lessons that I got, and you pretty much have to drive a car nowadays to do anything.
