I wonder if there is anyone on earth that takes car driving lessons anymore! I am a mother of 3 kids and 1 is a teenager. It is really amazing how many kids I see her age already driving. I ask my daughter every so often does this one have a license or does that one have one. Her answer is always no.

When I left college I took a job as a van driver. It was a nice little job, driving from destination to destination delivering goods. It was a part time job, and I took it to earn some money for university, as education is not cheap and didn't want to leave university having massive debts. The year passed by really quickly and when it came to leaving my job I didn't want to. I had gone off the idea of going to university and chose to stay on as a full time van driver. With the money I had saved up for university I bought myself a motorbike. It was my pride and joy, I was always out and about on it, and when the weather was too bad to ride it, I was in the garage polishing it. My dad bought a motorbike too, and we used to go out on road trips camping and staying in various bed and breakfasts.

I was always focused on my career, that was a good thing for women of course but the time had come to expand everything I knew, there was two things I had always regretted not doing and now more than ever it was time to do them. The first was car driving lessons, I needed to finally learn how to drive, you would think that a busy career woman like myself would be taking her own car to work everyday but for me that was certainly not the case, for a while I considered a motorcycle but in the end I thought it would be best to take some car driving lessons. I was very nervous with just the thought of getting in the car, I needed to be in control all the time and like this I would not be, someone else would have to be in control till I get comfortable enough to take over and be the one in charge. My family and friends had always pushed me to learn saying that it would make everything so much easier and all but for some reason I did not pay attention and I really just had no interest of making the change and taking that big step forward with car driving lessons.

I have been driving our family car and taking care of the family wherever they wish to go. In fact, more recently, I have been the driving instructor of the family too, coaching all my siblings to drive. That really has been keeping me very busy. They are doing quite well and the eldest of them will be going for the driving test soon. I hope he will pass the test the very first time, so that he can take the turn driving our family car soon.
