I wonder if there is anyone on earth that takes car driving lessons anymore! I am a mother of 3 kids and 1 is a teenager. It is really amazing how many kids I see her age already driving. I ask my daughter every so often does this one have a license or does that one have one. Her answer is always no.

I told her she had better not be driving until she has car driving lessons. She just looks at me and says those famous words like they all do it Mom, and the cops don’t know who is 16 or 18.

I do know when she will be taking car driving lessons and will not be driving until she is done with them and at least 16 if not older. You know talking to a teenage daughter is like talking to stuffed dog. I tried to tell her these young drivers are risking not only their life, but anyone they meet on the road.

Here I am talking about car driving lessons and my daughter is talking about a party that she was invited to the other night. Great way to change the subject if you ask me. She told me that one of her friends was invited to it and decided not to go because the word got out that her parents got wind of it and was going to crash it. Okay fine, now can we get back to what we were talking about? You know, kid, the part about taking car driving lessons.

For some reason she kept avoiding me every time I would bring that up. I decided to fix that and I told her we are going out for a drive. You will get behind the steering wheel and you are going to get some practice in so you will be ready when you start taking car driving lessons. I do think if you get used to driving you will not be so scared. All you have to do is just watch the signs and watch the other cars.

I could tell she didn’t want to drive by the way she was stalling. I have always been taught to do things the right way when I am scared of doing something, and now I am going to pass this idea on to my kids. It is like if you fall off a horse, you get back on right away.
